My philosophy

Romona Brady is a 22-year-old Actor from London, England. She is from Caribbean and British heritage with roots from Jamaica and Dominica. She is very creative and has a passion for the arts industry. Romona's main interest lies in acting, which began with studying A-level Drama and this eventually led to her to study BA(Hons) Acting at the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) Farnham; Which she attended from 2019 - 2022.

Romona has gained a wide range of acting skills and experience during her time at UCA, such as improvisation, filmmaking skills, and techniques of how to gain a greater concept of character. In addition to this, she has learned basic stage combat and voice and breathe and control. Working on voice has helped her with learning accents and using her voice to enhance her acting ability. Romona has gained acting experience for theatre and screen and is currently working on projects within university and extra-curricular activities to gain experience in her profession and further improve her skills.

Screenwriting is one of Romona's favorite outlets to utilize her vast imagination. She has written a feature-length piece and is currently working on another. She is also in the midst of creating multiple scripts for short film ideas and a teleplay. Her love for screenwriting was formed when she was daydreaming and an idea for a story just stuck with her. Her father then gave her a book to read called "The foundations of screenwriting." By Syd Field. Following this, she read the screenplay "Taken." Written by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Karmen. This helped her gain a concept of the structure of how text is then transformed onto screen. She then began writing her first screenplay and hasn't stopped since.

Romona has a deep love for music whether that be listening to it, singing, or playing instruments. She is a competent Keyboard player and can read basic sheet music and has recently started learning guitar. She aims to be able to play the keyboard and guitar to a high level. She enjoys writing songs and would eventually like to accompany her lyrics with melodies created with her instruments.
